Rohan Meringenti

1. What project are you working on?

  • I”m working on Highlighting active discussions

2. What you accomplished this week.

  • I’ve finished EasyFix bug 3698. Here’s the review request https://reviews.reviewboard.org/r/6862/ . Also found out that EasyFix bug 3654 doesn’t exist in release 2.0.x.
  • Started trying to reproduce current features of highlight active discussion, and tracing which functions are called and state of variables at that time.

  • Fill-database script fails in loading diff viewers, so its hard to populate fake review requests to see how UI currently looks, and further testing.

5. What, if anything, is blocking you from making progress?

  • I’m going to work on the UI addition of Highlight Active discussion and figure out what I need to modify to make this change.

Teresa Fan

1) What project are you working on?

  • I’m working on Interactive Issue Summaries.

2) What you accomplished this week.

  • I fixed EasyFix bug 3678, chose a project, and got started on it–submitted part 1 (markdown text, as outlined in the student project list) for review. Now working on part 2 (expanding issue summary).

  • I plan to finish part 2 and maybe do a couple UI mockups for the rest of my project.
5) What, if anything, is blocking you from making progress?
  • Nothing except being pretty tired after this busy weekend!

Chenxi Ni

1) What project are you working on?
  • Changing Review Request Ownership

2) What you accomplished this week.
  • I fixed easyfix bug #3505, and choose a project. I just get start with the project to make the submitter field editable and find out that I should edit the database table to store the information.Since the first part only will break the system, there is no RR for my chosen project yet.

3) Links to anything you’ve done this week:
4) What you plan to do next week.
  • Since I will stayed in America for a few more days and will take a long travel back to China, I plan to learn to add attributes to database table then try ways to set the attribute.

5) What, if anything, is blocking you from making progress?
  • Luckily mentors covered all my questions before the end!!

  • Nothing but need time for different time zone


Mingyi Chen

1) What project are you working on?

  • Add infinite scrolling to the diff viewer

2) What you accomplished this week.

  • I fixed easyfix bug #3580, and choose a project. Wanna to fix a new bug, but failed.
  • Now work on the project.

3) Links to anything you’ve done this week:

4) What you plan to do next week.

  • Travel in the San Fransisco may be a good idea. And try to add an infinity scroll in the comment without considering the memory use.

5) What, if anything, is blocking you from making progress?

  • Debug Javascript seems to be a disaster.

  • Can I continue to fix the markdown bug in my spare time? It makes me excited.


Wang Jun Sun

1) What project are you working on?

  • Working on the Checklist extension!

2) What you accomplished this week.

  • To finish reading up the current codebase for the Checklist extension and hopefully produce working checklist templates for individual users.

5) What, if anything, is blocking you from making progress?

  • Catching up on school work, but it should not affect too much on progress.

1. What project are you working on?

  • Working on the diff comment bubbles.

2. What you accomplished this week.

  • Over the sprint, looked through the codebase to understand the design. Started on the first part of the project to improve what’s being shown on the tool tip.

  • Hackpads: Will be setting one up when I reach Singapore, leaving SF now.

4. What you plan to do next week.

  • To finish reading up the current codebase for the diff comments. Will probably spend the rest of the week catching up on school work.

  • A week of school work 😦

1) What project are you working on?

  • Working on Framework and UI for integrating with third-party.

2) What you accomplished this week.

  • I started on my project and have mapped out the integration subclass and model for it.

  • Work more on the subclass and registration function for the project.

  • Lots of school work as well.

1) What project are you working on?

  • Trivial” Publishes

2) What you accomplished this week.

  • I made initial attempts at Easyfix Bug 3711.
  • I started making necessary changes to backend methods to take in a trivial parameter.
  • The username/profile picture now links to user profile instead of user preferences.

  • I need to make revisions for Easyfix Bug 3711.
  • I will add a checkbox to the draft header and work on making other necessary frontend changes for my project.

5) What, if anything, is blocking you from making progress?

  • I’m not quite sure how to “extract” the info about whether the checkbox is checked and pass that to backend methods.
  • The update() method in /webapi/resources/review_request_draft.py is called when a POST is sent to WebAPI??
  • Also for Easyfix Bug 3711, how does local_site_reverse() work?

1) What project are you working on?

  • Resizable Image Comment Regions

2) What you accomplished this week.

  • Made draft image comment region movable, and submitted a WIP review request.

  • Update WIP review request, complete and submit it.
  • Start working on “resizable” functionality.

  • I’m trying to find out a new easyFix issue which I can solve and I’m learning the project as well.

  • Finish Fixing the easyFix issue #3636
